#3: The Battle for the Bible (Choosing the Uncorrupted Text)
The Battle for the Bible (Choosing the Uncorrupted Text)
Introduction: The Hidden Battlefield
When you walk into a bookstore or open a Bible app, you are presented with dozens of versions: NIV, ESV, NASB, KJV, NKJV. The "System" tells you this is just a matter of preference—like choosing a flavor of ice cream.
This is a lie.
The choice of Bible version is a critical battlefield. The "System" has worked tirelessly to corrupt the Word of God, not just by changing the English words, but by changing the source manuscripts underneath them. Furthermore, they have attempted to shackle the Word of God with Copyright Laws, turning the Bread of Life into a commercial product.
To pass the "Final Exam," you cannot rely on a text that has been edited by the enemy or owned by a corporation. We must identify the "least corrupted" and "most free" version based on Ground Truth evidence.
1. The War of Two Texts
Almost all Bible translations are based on one of two opposing families of manuscripts. It is a war between the "Critical Text" and the "Majority Text."
2. The "Critical Text" (The Inversion)
Most modern Bibles (NIV, ESV, NASB, NLT) are based on the "Critical Text" (also called the Alexandrian Text).
- What It Is: A text based on a tiny minority (approx. 1%) of manuscripts, primarily two specific codices: Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus.
- The "System's" Argument: They claim "Older is better." Because these manuscripts date to the 4th century, scholars say they are closer to the original.
- The "First Principles" Analysis: This is a flawed appeal to authority. These manuscripts originated in Alexandria, Egypt—the historical hotbed of Gnostic heresy and pagan philosophy.
- The Logic: Why did these manuscripts survive for 1,500 years in such good condition? A strong possibility is that they were rejected by the early believers as corrupt. Because they were recognized as flawed, they were not used—and therefore, they were not worn out. One was found in the Vatican; the other was found in a monastery's waste bin.
Verdict: When you read an NIV or ESV, you are reading a text based on rejected manuscripts from Egypt.
3. The "Majority Text" (The Ground Truth)
The alternative is the "Majority Text" (related to the Textus Receptus or Received Text).
- What It Is: A text based on the overwhelming majority (95%+) of all surviving manuscripts.
- The Preservation: This text was preserved by the true believers (the ekklesia) across the world. It was the accepted and used text for over 1,500 years.
- The Logic: Our "Ground Truth" logic suggests Yahweh would preserve His Word through the vast majority of copies used by His people, not in two "lost" manuscripts hidden by the European religious system.
4. The Solution: The Restored WEB (Strategic Clarity)
For centuries, the King James Version (KJV) was the standard bearer for the uncorrupted text. It is trustworthy in its source. However, we face two problems in the modern era: Language and Law.
The Language Barrier (The KJV Problem)
The 1611 archaic English can be a barrier to understanding. It is not just about style (the "thees" and "thous"); it is about definition. Language changes over time. Words that meant one thing in 1611 often mean something entirely different today.
- The Example: Take the word "Prevent."
- In 1611: It meant "to go before" or "precede" (from the Latin praevenire).
- Today: It means "to stop" or "hinder."
- The Confusion: When the KJV says in 1 Thessalonians 4:15, "we which are alive... shall not prevent them which are asleep," a modern reader thinks it means we won't stop the dead. But the "Ground Truth" meaning is that we won't go ahead of them.
We need Strategic Clarity, not a history lesson in linguistics.
The Copyright Trap (The NKJV Problem)
Many turn to the New King James Version (NKJV) to solve the language issue. While the text is generally good, it carries a spiritual poison: Copyright. The NKJV is owned by a corporation. It is protected by the laws of the Beast System. You are restricted in how much of it you can print, share, or quote without permission. Ground Truth Principle: You cannot copyright the Word of Yahweh. To place a commercial trademark on the Scripture is an act of spiritual theft. It turns the Truth into merchandise.
The Recommendation: The Restored World English Bible (WEB)
The Origin Story: A Rebellion Against Commerce The World English Bible (WEB) was not created by a publishing house looking for profit. It was born out of a rebellion against the "System's" control of Scripture. In the 1990s, Michael Paul Johnson and a group of volunteers realized a critical problem: Missionaries in developing nations were legally paralyzed. They wanted to print modern, readable Bibles for mass distribution, but they couldn't use the NKJV, NIV, or NASB without paying massive royalties to Western corporations. The "System" had effectively put a paywall around the Gospel. If a missionary wanted to print 100,000 Bibles for a revival, they had to ask permission from a lawyer in Nashville or New York. To break this chain, they created the WEB. They took the uncorrupted Majority Text and translated it into modern English, then deliberately released it into the Public Domain. They waived all rights, ensuring that no corporation could ever stop the printing of God's Word again.
Why this is our Standard:
- Anti-System Liberty (Public Domain): Because of the history described above, the WEB belongs to humanity. It stands against the commercialization of God's Word. We can use it, print it, and code it into this website without asking the Beast for permission.
- Manuscript Integrity: Like the KJV, it is based on the Majority Text (The Byzantine Text type). It rejects the corrupt Alexandrian manuscripts of the NIV/ESV.
- The Name Restoration (Yahweh): The "System" replaced God's covenant name (YHWH) with the title "LORD" in capital letters. The WEB restores the name Yahweh to the text, allowing you to call on Him by name.
- The Final Polish (Yeshua): We have taken the WEB and applied one final restoration. We have restored the Messiah's Hebrew name, Yeshua, replacing the Greek/Latin translation "Jesus."
The Verdict: This text gives us the uncorrupted manuscripts, in clear modern English, with the Holy Names restored, and without the chains of corporate copyright. This is the Sword we will use.
End of Dossier.
