The Orthodox system is a spiritual nursery designed to keep believers in a state of perpetual childhood. It offers the comfort of ritual, the beauty of antiquity, and the guidance of its priests. But the price for this comfort is your crown. It will teach you how to be a good citizen, but it will never teach you how to be a son and heir to the throne.

This is its great sin. It takes men and women called to be kings and priests and reduces them to passive spectators and sheep.
